WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT….
The Rotary River Pathway Trust has developed a series of recreational walkway and cycle trails in Central Hawkes Bay centred on the Tuki Tuki river. We have also constructed a mountain bike park and erected a swing bridge across the river to link the trails between Waipawa and Waipukurau.
The project is ongoing; we have plans to extend the trails and there is normal maintenance – this will require funds. While we have a dedicated group of volunteers there is always a need to fundraise.
Our immediate projects include:
The Lindsay Bush trail – work here will open walking and cycling access to the native bush reserve and water race tunnel.
Maintenance to existing facilities – add parking areas at key sites, establish picnic areas
Build additional mountain bike trails in the Gum Tree Mountain Bike Park – improve parking and signage there
Enhance existing single mountain bike and walking trails in the river berms – native plantings, culverts, mini bridges, jumps, weed control.
All donations and support will be welcomed and appreciated by the trust and our community.
